Abastract:

technologies, which cover from “fast” lab-scale flow process development to “seamless” scale-up of flow process to commercial production. 1000x improvement in heat transfer, 10-100x enhancements in multiphase mixing, x/1000 reduction in chemical holdup and
reaction time comparing with conventional stirred batch reactors enable cleaner, safer, and more efficient manufacturing reality, which are crucial to today global pharma, fine and specialty chemical industry.

Corning Advanced-Flow™ Reactors — a full range of reactor products suited to meet the needs of a particular reaction or a wide portfolio of reactions. Corning Advanced-Flow™ reactors are specially designed for the seamless transition from lab feasibility
to process development to industrial-scale to multi-ton production of chemicals for the pharmaceutical, specialty and fine chemical industries.

The design of Corning Advanced-Flow™ reactors make them inherently safer than batch reactors. Corning’s Advanced-Flow™ reactors use very small amounts of chemicals within the reactors themselves during operation. Corning’s Advanced-Flow™ reactors also
provide superior thermal control compared to batch reactors. These features help prevent release of harmful levels of heat and/or pressurized chemicals in multi-purpose plants and single purpose plants

Mr. C K Sethia is Manager Sales @ Corning Technologies and Manages flow reactor business for Advanced-Flow reactors in India.  He has completed his Masters in Business Administration from United Business Institute and Bachelors of Technology in Chemical
Engineering from UDCT Jalgaon. With an overall 14 year of experience in mixing technology and technical sales, he is currently working @ Corning for over five and half years.
