Our interests are related to both physical as well as materials aspects. We are interested in developing quantum dots optimized to suit specific single photon generation applications.<\/p>\n<p>Future emphasis on this front will move towards realizing quantum optical effects and devices with these materials<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_3&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; border_width_bottom=&#8221;1px&#8221; border_color_bottom=&#8221;#0C71C3&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Photodetectors<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/sscu.iisc.ac.in\/quantumlab\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/reserach-2.jpg&#8221; title_text=&#8221;reserach-2&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; text_orientation=&#8221;justified&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>We are interested in developing photodetector devices from solution processed nanomaterials. For example, we have shown near infrared photodetector devices developed from I-III-VI<sub>2<\/sub> semiconductors.<\/p>\n<p>Future emphasis on will be towards developing improved infrared photodetector devices as well as the exploration of other infrared materials.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_3&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; border_width_bottom=&#8221;1px&#8221; border_color_bottom=&#8221;#0C71C3&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Plasmonic Materials<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/sscu.iisc.ac.in\/quantumlab\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/reserach-3.jpg&#8221; title_text=&#8221;reserach-3&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; text_orientation=&#8221;justified&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Metal nanoparticles enable the convenient regulation local photonic density of states. This can in turn alter the properties of nearby emitters.
