| Dear Visitor,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the web page of our group.

We belong to the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore - India, and our primary affiliation is with
Solid State and Structural Chemistry Unit (SSCU).

We work in inter-disciplinary areas of condensed matter science with most group members having their undergraduate degrees in Physics or Chemistry.
The most dominant underlying research theme of our group is Electronic Structure of Materials. We use it, investigated experimentally as well as theoretically, to probe and understand a variety of properties and phenomena. As you will find under "Research", various activities can be broadly classified into following areas: "Strongly Correlated Electronic Systems", "Semiconducting Nanoparticles", "Energy Science", "Electronic Structure Calculations", and "Conjugated polymers".

Besides facilities available in the group and a large number of sophisticated facilities within IISc, our group extensively uses synchrotron radiation at various centres, such as Elettra, BESSY, Maxlab, APS, Photon Factory and SPring-8, either via direct access or collaborratively.

Wishing you an interesting tour through these pages,
