COURSE CONTENTS
Vectors: Vector algebra, application to solid geometry, Vector calculus, Gradient, Divergence and Curl
Euclidian n-dimensional vector space: Linear dependence and independence, Gramm-schmidt orthonormalization procedure, linear operators and their representation as matrices
Matrix Algebra: Types of matrices. Linear algebraic equations, Determinants, Matrix eigenvalue problem, Functions of matrices
Classical Orthogonal Polynomials: Functions spaces, Moments method, recurrence relations, zeroes of polynomials, quadrature methods, Generating functions
Fourier series and Dirac delta functions
Ordinary differential equations. Sturm-Liouville equations.
